The Challenge

With a few months to go before her highly anticipated Purposely Chosen 4U Women Empowerment Event, A. Alston reached out in need of full promotional support. She wanted impactful visuals to bring her event vision to life — including a logo, banner, flyers, Eventbrite graphics, and social media-ready materials. She expressed her story, rooted in overcoming domestic violence, and entrusted the creative direction completely to me.

The Creative Solution

During our initial conversation, Ms. Alston shared the deeply personal meaning behind her event. Her strength, vision, and message of healing inspired the creative concept. One quote that stood out:

This became the seed of inspiration for the logo. I designed a symbolic graphic featuring two faces subtly emerging from the base of a tree, representing both pain and resilience — a reflection of how many traumas begin at the “family tree.” The concept visually and emotionally grounded her brand identity.

From there, I designed a cohesive suite of branded materials:

• A custom logo with emotional symbolism

• A professional retractable banner to anchor the event stage

• Flyers and social graphics for promotion

• An Eventbrite header to attract attendees

• Color scheme and typography aligning with her strength and femininity
